Anthony Gorena

Anthony was born and raised in the vibrant landscapes of South Texas, where the warm sun and rich culture instilled a strong sense of community and resilience. In 1996, he took a significant step in life and enrolled at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and pursued studies in sociology and business. This educational journey not only broadened my horizons but also laid the foundation for my future endeavors.

At the age of 19, he embraced the role of a young father, which brought both challenges and immense joy. Balancing fatherhood with his studies and career aspirations taught invaluable lessons about responsibility and dedication. Over the years, he explored various career paths, from law enforcement to construction, each role contributing to his growth and understanding of the world around him.

Today, Anthony is happily married and the proud father of four wonderful children, as well as a grandfather to two beautiful grandchildren. Family is at the heart of everything he does, and they inspire him to strive for greatness every day.

In 2018, he faced a medical emergency that served as a wake-up call, prompting him to reevaluate his lifestyle and priorities. This pivotal moment became a turning point, leading him to make significant changes for the better. He discovered the CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting communities, which has not only transformed his physical health but also enriched his life with a sense of purpose and camaraderie.

Since joining these incredible communities, he has embraced a healthier lifestyle and an unwavering commitment to personal growth. The support and encouragement he received from fellow athletes has been inspiring, and he is grateful for the friendships he's formed along the way.

As he continues on his journey, he is filled with optimism for the future. He believes that every challenge we face can lead to new opportunities for growth and transformation, and he looks forward to sharing his experiences and learning from others during this beautiful journey of life together.
