Lilly Sutherlin

Originally from Chicago and an Army veteran, Coach Lilly’s transition into fitness wasn’t immediate or "natural," but it quickly became a vital part of her life. Before CrossFit, she was an avid runner, but her fitness journey truly evolved during her time in the Army. In 2017, Lilly discovered CrossFit while completing her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from University of South Carolina-Upstate.

Though she jokes about her dislike for school, Lilly is a lifelong learner at heart. One of her favorite philosophies, which she adopted during her time in the Army, is “Complacency kills.” This mindset drives her to embrace challenges and constantly work on improving herself.

Lilly earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Baylor University in 2020 and has been a practicing clinician ever since. She is currently completing an 11-month orthopedic residency to earn her specialist certification, with the goal of enhancing patient outcomes and recovery. In April 2024, after encouragement from fellow coaches, she earned her CF-L1 certification and began coaching. Later that year, she also became a certified USA Weightlifting (USAW) Level 1 coach, further deepening her passion for Olympic lifting.

She is particularly excited about the opportunity to combine her PT expertise with CrossFit to help members challenge themselves in ways that lead to long-term health improvements. Her ultimate goal is to inspire and empower others to push their limits, get stronger, and live healthier lives.

Outside of the gym, Lilly enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Tanner, their dogs, Koda and Charlie, and their friends.

Lilly looks forward to working with you and being a part of your fitness journey!
